Her journey with flowers began in the garden, growing on a small scale before launching a micro flower farm. As she honed her craft, she freelanced with several luxury florists, where she discovered her passion for using flowers as an artistic medium—creating designs that feel lush, romantic, and deeply connected to the seasons.
Before stepping into the world of floristry, Emma spent nearly a decade as an elementary school teacher. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Vermont and has always been drawn to creativity, discovery, and hands-on learning—qualities that now shape her approach to floral design.
From Mount Everest Base Camp to India, Singapore, Laos, Costa Rica, Belize, and much of Europe (including Ireland, Portugal, Italy, and Germany). Travel continues to fuel her creativity, exposing her to new textures, colors, and landscapes that inspire her work. Her dream destinations? Southern Spain and Peru.
When she’s not designing, you can find her tending to her garden, cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients, or escaping to the seaside—always seeking beauty in nature’s fleeting moments.
Through Blue Door Flower Co., Emma offers wedding and event floral services throughout New England, the East Coast, and destinations worldwide, blending her love of florals, storytelling, and artistry to create designs that transform spaces and evoke emotion.
