Do you or your partner suffer from chronic illness or chronic pain? Do you want spectacular wedding florals, but just can't justify the cost due to medical bills or inability to work?
Yellow has become synonymous with endometriosis awareness, and we love flowers. We are so proud to welcome you to The Yellow Blossom Initiative. This is just the beginning.
Starting in 2025, I will be offering one pro-bono wedding per year to a couple dealing with severe chronic illness. Special consideration will be given to those suffering from endometriosis, PCOS, adenomyosis, ovarian/uterine/cervical cancer, and other serious diseases of the female reproductive system.
All applications are due no later than March 1 to usher in Endometriosis Awareness Month.
Her lifelong journey with stage V endometriosis, adenomyosis, and interstitial cystitis has given her a unique perspective on couples who are also grappling with the struggles of chronic disease. That's why Emma wants to help one couple per year get the wedding floral design of their dreams.
I will offer my design services at no cost to one couple per year. This means no design fees, and no delivery, installation, or breakdown fees. We can discuss travel costs if that scenario arises. Couples will cover the wholesale cost and shipping cost of florals and hard goods.
I want to make life even a little easier, especially since I know how many tens of thousands of dollars these diseases can cost over the course of a lifetime. I want this couple to have beautiful wedding flowers regardless of their financial situation.
All applications will be due by March 1. I will announce the candidates by the end of March and couples will have the right of first refusal. We will still follow our normal wedding planning process, except for the inquiry form.
We hope you find these resources helpful. There are many resources out there, and I will continue adding to this list in the future. There are many chronic illness resources, support groups, and medical professionals who can help. You should always be your number one advocate-educating yourself is the only way to find answers.
