Back in February, we had the joy of kicking off Barbara and Jeff’s wedding weekend with a rehearsal celebration as warm and inviting as the couple themselves. Hosted in the Bubble Room at The Maddox—a private members club in Naples, Florida—the event was surrounded by lush palms and framed by floor-to-ceiling windows that filled the space with golden light.
We leaned into a citrus-meets-tropical palette—corals, tangerines, punchy pinks, soft lime, and bright green—to create arrangements that felt vibrant and alive, yet still elegant. Lush, low florals were designed in brushed gold vessels: the Scalloped Compote and Charlize Compote from Accent Decor. To layer depth and movement across the tables, we incorporated Queensland Bud Vases, also from Accent Decor, that paired perfectly with the gold. The overall effect was unfussy but full of presence—design that danced effortlessly in the Florida light.
Every stem was sourced through Mayesh LAX, with a thoughtful custom pull from Kelly Girard, who ensured we had exactly what we needed to bring the design to life. The evening was beautifully captured by Hunter Ryan Photography, whose warm and artful eye made everything glow.
When you’re far from home base, floral design becomes an exercise in creativity, resourcefulness, and trust!
Moments like that are what make destination events feel so special—collaborative, joyful, and full of heart.
When designing off-site, we always travel with essential tools, carefully plan logistics, and stay nimble. You might be building arrangements from folding tables, renting clippers from a hardware store, or designing under a palm tree—but with the right preparation, it all comes together.
If you’re dreaming of a destination event, know this: beauty doesn’t depend on the size of your studio. With intention and care, we can bring your vision to life, wherever your celebration takes you.
Barbara and Jeff—thank you for trusting us with this colorful, joyful evening. It was a highlight of our winter and a memory we’ll carry with us for a long time.
Until next time,
Emma
