Wedding Flower Costs + Floral Design Ideas: What to Know When Planning Your Wedding

Expert advice on turning seasonal blooms and design trends into a wedding day full of beauty and impact.

Wedding flowers are more than decoration. They set the mood, tell your story, and create lasting memories. Planning your 2026 wedding florals can feel overwhelming. Understanding pricing, seasonal blooms, and design options makes it easier to bring your vision to life.

Drawing on inspiration from 2025, this guide shows what to expect at different budget levels. You’ll get tips and examples to help your wedding feel intentional, effortless, and luxurious.

What Drives the Cost of Wedding Florals

Several factors influence floral pricing, including:

• Flower type & seasonality: Premium blooms, like garden roses, orchids, and peonies, cost more, especially if out of season. Local, seasonal flowers can help manage costs.
• Scale & complexity: Large arches, hanging installations, and dense centerpieces require more materials and design expertise.
• Labor & logistics: Setup, teardown, delivery, and venue access all add to the cost.
• Design details & trends: Statement pieces and immersive arrangements naturally cost more but create lasting impact.
• Sustainability & repurposing: Using ceremony flowers at the reception or eco-conscious materials may require extra planning but adds value.

$5,000-$8,000 Essential

This budget covers the core elements that make your wedding feel polished and unified. Expect a signature loose, garden-style bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, boutonnieres/pocket squares, and simple ceremony florals, along with simple reception florals that complement your space. We work together to find a color palette that you love, and use mostly seasonal foliage and florals to create a romantic, but simple look, giving your event cohesion without going overboard.

$8,000-$12,000 Elevated

At this range, your floral story becomes more elevated with a stronger visual impact. Centerpieces are fuller and more layered, perhaps incorporating a more sculptural aesthetic or surprising elements like fruits. Accommodates more tables, and a standout ceremony installation-such as urns or a small arch-can be added. Additional touches like cake flowers, a bar floral design, and welcome table/wall florals weave your florals throughout the entire venue, creating the ultimate visual experience for you and your guests. The overall effect is polished, intentional, and memorable, with textures, colors, and unexpected elements thoughtfully layered for maximum impact.

$12,000-$15,000 High Impact

This is where a truly immersive floral story emerges. Your florals are more than individual pieces-they are an experience that alights all of the senses and leaves you and your guests with memories for years to come. This budget likely includes multiple installations (ceremony and reception), tall or extra lush centerpieces, and overhead greenery and trees to curate a magical experience for all. Premium blooms (orchids, peonies, garden roses, anthuriums, etc) are used and hard goods are specially sourced for this event. Couples in this range can achieve a cohesive, visually striking floral story across the entire wedding.

$15,000+ Full Experience

Couples and clients seeking the full experience can expect large-scale installations such as multiple floral chandeliers, overhead greenery and tree installations, arches, floral walls, and really anything their imagination can dream up. Florals and design elements are present throughout the event, and guests feel as though they are walking through a fairytale. This level of immersion may include multi-day events including welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, and other celebrations. Every detail is carefully considered, from individual bouquets to sweeping arrangements, ensuring that the flowers not only look beautiful but feel like an intentional part of the day’s storytelling.

A La Carte Florals + Small Off-Season Events (Starting at $1,000)

These options work for smaller events or couples focusing on a few key pieces. Examples include a bridal bouquet and boutonniere, a single statement centerpiece, a ceremony arch, or a floral wall. This lets you highlight impactful elements without a full package.
